Sylvenor s.r.o. — Connecting Players Across the Czech Republic
We’re bringing board game enthusiasts, chess competitors, and puzzle lovers together. For over a decade, we’ve been the bridge between casual game nights and serious strategic competition across the Czech Republic.
Built on Passion for Strategy
Sylvenor s.r.o. didn’t start as a corporation. It started with friends who couldn’t find enough places to play serious games. We realized there was a gap — spaces for casual players existed, but where could the 40-60 age group find tournament-level competition and genuine community?
The Beginning
In 2014, we organized our first chess tournament in a small Prague café. Twelve people showed up. By the end, we knew we’d stumbled onto something real. People weren’t just playing games — they were reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and discovering they weren’t alone in wanting serious, organized competition.
Growing the Network
We didn’t rush. We listened to what players actually wanted. More tournaments? Yes. Casual league play? Absolutely. Cooperative puzzle nights for people who prefer teamwork? We heard that too. Now we’re working with over 40 clubs across the Czech Republic, and we’re still learning from our communities every week.
What We’ve Learned
Games aren’t about escaping life — they’re about engaging with it deeply. Our members tell us they play chess because it sharpens their thinking. They join card leagues because the strategy keeps them sharp. They do puzzle nights because solving problems together feels meaningful. That’s what drives us.
What We Organize
Sylvenor s.r.o. coordinates event listings and creates opportunities across multiple game communities. Here’s what our network covers:
Chess Tournaments
Rated competitions throughout the year. We’re not just tracking games — we’re connecting serious players with organized, fair tournaments at their skill level.
Card Game Leagues
Regular leagues for bridge, poker (cash-free), rummy, and traditional card games. Seasonal standings, weekly matches, and actual community that extends beyond the table.
Tabletop Game Nights
Structured board game meetups at clubs nationwide. Whether it’s strategy, worker placement, or deck-building games — we’ve got regular sessions organized.
Puzzle Challenge Evenings
Cooperative puzzle solving events where teams work together. Logic puzzles, escape room-style challenges, and group problem-solving that builds friendships.
How We Operate
We’re not just event managers. Here’s what actually guides our decisions:
Our Network Across the Czech Republic
We work with local clubs in major cities and smaller towns. Each one brings their own personality. What ties them together is our commitment to quality organization and genuine competition.
Event Listings & Registration
We maintain the most complete calendar of board game clubs, chess tournaments, and card game leagues in the Czech Republic. See what’s happening this month, register directly, and get reminders so you don’t miss anything.
Tournament Management
Chess tournaments run smoothly because we handle pairings, ratings updates, and standings transparently. Everyone knows the rules, the schedule, and where they stand. No surprises, no confusion.
League Coordination
Card game leagues need consistency. Weekly matches, seasonal standings, and regular tournaments. We’re the backbone that keeps 30+ leagues running smoothly across the country.
Community Building
Beyond logistics — we’re facilitating real connections. Puzzle nights build friendships. Regular tournament players become familiar faces. That’s the real value we provide.
By the Numbers
Why Players Choose Us
“I wasn’t sure if I’d find serious chess competition at my age. Turned out there’s a whole community of people in their 50s and 60s who play regularly. Found a regular group through Sylvenor’s listings, and now it’s the highlight of my week.”
